Why are you still paying your parking tickets?

There are a lot of reasons why you might think you’re not paying your ticket, including that you forgot to pay your fare, didn’t pay your parking ticket, or were just lazy and didn’t want to pay.

However, if you’re a commuter bicycle user who doesn’t have a lot to lose, you might not even be aware that you’re being issued a parking ticket for parking in an out-of-street parking lot.

That’s because in New York City, out-door parking is a legal requirement in many parts of the city.

To avoid parking tickets, the City Department of Transportation recommends that you pay the ticket when you’re parked on a public street, not on private property.
